mLift will also allow people to carpool thereby reducing carbon emissions and commuting in a cost-effective manner
M-Lift's redesigned process
MLift using an Interactive Voice Recording system serves as a communication channel between customers and service providers. As of now MLift is using this communication channel to help customers get connected with taxi drivers. It has made an agreement with Mobilink to use its network, making MLift available for Mobilink customers only. MLift, in order to generate revenue through other means can leverage its partnership with Moblink to help generate revenue. For example we plan to make our taxis into Wi-Fi taxis using Mobilink’s Wi-Fi. This would not only attract more customers but will help generate more revenue too, as MLift will give usage of 5 minutes free and then charge for the rest.
MLift also plans to place wrap advertisements on taxis for different companies including Mobilink and other businesses who want to increase their market reach through this method to generate revenue. This will make the taxi a mobile billboard which will increase market reach as anyone seeing a taxi nearby while sitting in their car or walking around will see the advertisements in almost all parts of the city instead of at a specified place like billboards do. Along with this, companies can keep magazines in the seat pockets too. Customers will already be sitting in the car with nothing to do and will have to open the magazines which will increase customer reach.
MLift can use its IVR system to get customers in contact with not only taxi drivers, but other service providers as well. The team in collaboration with MLift recommend that they should use this system to call doctors if anyone has an emergency and for some reason can’t go out, for everyday household problems including calling plumbers, electrician and gardeners whenever they need them. In this way MLift is solving the everyday problems of Pakistanis who find it difficult and time consuming to get in contact with these service providers.

Redesigned Process by Group 2
The service process itself is essentially a GSM-based tracking service, which is used to book cab rides based on the nearest located drivers. Mediums such as calling or SMS can be used to book the ride.
IVR Technology will be used in the service process when the customer makes the call to book a ride. A few options are given including an explanation of the booking process so it is easier for the market to understand and use. Feedbacks can also be provided.
Databases will be maintained of all the drivers, along with profiles including thorough background checks and follow up calls to the customers after the ride, to rate the drivers; which will be used to determine whether or not to give drivers' bonuses.
Advertising on cars and other vehicles in order to diversify revenue stream.
Network of cabs can be used for car pooling and grocery home delivery services.
Possible additions to service: Expand the service by providing courier / TCS services other than simply transporting customers.
An app version will also be launched later (with both English and Urdu languages as options for ease of customer usage).
The channels of service delivery will not only include cars but also vans, buses, rickshaws and motorcycles.
