Clinic Management Information System by TalkHealth
CMIS Process Redesigned
TalkHealth provides a Clinic Management Information System (CMIS) which allows clinics to manage their operations with greater efficiency. The CMIS facilitates appointment scheduling, patient registration, prescription records, billing and record keeping.
Upon typing ‘talkhealth.me/HospitalLogin’ into your browser or logging in directly from the TalkHealth main website, you are directed to the TalkHealth CMIS ‘Log In’ page. Upon successfully logging in using your username and password, you are presented with the clinics homepage. The homepage also has a ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ section. Next you click the ‘CMIS’ icon to manage your processes. The ‘Appointments’ page has icons for the doctors and a search bar to search for the doctors. Upon selecting the doctor, you can manage his or her appointments. The ‘Registration’ page allow doctors to register crucial patient details such as name, phone number and MR number. You have the option to add multiple phone numbers and addresses for each patient, as well as search exiting patients.
The ‘Prescription Preferences’ page allows you to customise your prescription format with options such as advice section, complaint section, private notes section, special instructions section, tests and investigations section, drawing section, medicine timing in Urdu/English and others. There is also the option to upload a logo and to upload a visual. The ‘Prescription’ page is according to the options you’ve selected from the ‘Prescription Preferences’ page. The ‘Prescription’ page has the prescription and the previous medical record. It also has a medical history section covering general conditions such as asthmatic, diabetic, heart problems, hepatitis etc., a box for speciality specific conditions and you can upload scanned or digital copies of tests/reports. In addition it also has a drawing tool popup for doctors to use, and a visuals popup where doctors can simply point out the problem area on an illustration. Another feature is of ‘Prepopulated Prescriptions’. In this doctors, as they see most of the same cases and prescribe the same medicine, fill out and save common prescriptions. Then they simply have to click the relevant prescription, and the prescription will be done with one click thus saving doctors time. These ‘Prepopulated Prescriptions’ are editable as the doctor might have to change the dosage or prescribe a different medicine depending upon the case.
There is a ‘SMS Patients’ page, where you can select the patients and send those patients text messages. There is a search box to search for patients and for long-term scheduling of appointments for patients there is an automatic reminder text for appointments in the future in which you specify the date it is to be sent and message. There is a range of already written text messages for common functions so the doctor only has to click the text message. For example for appointments reminder,

‘Dear _patient name______, you have an appointment on date______ at time_. If you cannot make it, please reply to this text with a 1 to cancel your appointment. Contact your doctor at clinic no. to reschedule your appointment’.
There are pages for managing invoices and receipts, as well as sales reports which can be exported to Excel.
